Bidding for the ring currently sits at $8,000.

When Scott Weiland died in December of last year, his ex-wife Mary Forsberg Weiland left a damning statement in his wake: do not glorify him.

Because while Weiland was a prodigious talent, his history with drug abuse was long documented, and the day he died was not the day we lost him.

And now, the other love of Scott Weiland’s life, his widow Jamie Wachtel Weiland, is moving on in her own way — by selling her engagement ring. With bidding on eBay currently sitting at $8,000 US, Wachtel is hoping that the diamond encrusted, white gold set ring, will help recoup some of the money she says she was owed by Weiland before his death.

“This is the ring Scott gave me when he proposed. Eight months into this new chapter of my life, I need to part with it,” she wrote on Facebook. “I am so sad to see it go but it’s a truly gorgeous piece and I would love for it to make someone as happy as it once made me.”

Per TMZ, the couple had entered a pre-nuptial agreement that should have seen monthly provisions put into a bank account each month that they were married. According to reports, only two such deposits were made, and Wachtel Weiland now contested earlier this year that she was owed nearly $65,000 in spousal support.

Here, she seems less like a sour girl, however, and more like one who’s ready to move on.

Plus, it looks like a pretty nice ring.
