According to candy ravers, these have a 'slightly acidic' taste.

German gummy-built powerhouse Haribo is getting in on one of its missed demographics: the notoriously candy-crazed world of ravers. “FINALLY!” – gummy-loving DJs of the world.

Good move, Haribo: what else but candy could be causing those smiles, endless hugs, and soul-destroying depression the next morning? “Ugh… why did I eat so many gummy coke bottles at Berghain last night, WHY?”

Named DJ Brause (‘DJ ‘), the candies are supposed to call to mind buttons on a CDJ or a Xone 92, but I wouldn’t try to enter a club munching down a handful. Currently only available in Germany, the candies have a ‘slightly acidic’ taste… just like the current crop electronic music producers who are driving the price of a TB-303 into the stratosphere.

The demographic is good news for Haribo, though: once DJ BRAUSE candies are a decade or two past their heyday, trendjumpers will probably pay 30x the price for bag on eBay.

Hopefully these don’t have the same effect as those Haribo sugarfree gummy bears causing “calamitous flatulence.”
