The national treasure remains in care at Vancouver General Hospital.

Fans and musicians worldwide rushed to share their well wishes to Nardwuar the Human Serviette after he suffered a stroke.

Vancouver’s fact and gift wielding music journalist, unlikely hip-hop head, and hyperactive frontman of The Evaporators was rushed to the hospital after the incident occurred on Saturday, December 5 at Mint Records’ yearly ‘Ridiculously Early Xmas Party.’ He remains in care at Vancouver General Hospital and is currently “improving” while editing video according to various sources.

The news of Nardwuar’s stroke was shared on Wednesday, December 9 through his Twitter account. See an image below with the ambulance’s route from the Astoria Pub:

UPDATE: Mint Records founder Randy Iwata shares the information that Nardwuar started feeling unwell and asked for a 911 call shortly after entering the Christmas party. “Nardwuar was in Emergency for many hours, and then was admitted to the Neuro floor sometime during Sunday daytime after results of the CT scan came in that he had definitely had a stroke,” says Iwata. “He remains in VGH having more tests done.”

The Canadian great previously suffered a brain hemorrhage in 1999 before making a full recovery.

Nardwuar is a national treasure and we wish him a rapid recovery!
