The stacked line-up covered Queen's "Under Pressure" for Freddy Mercury’s 69th birthday.

Making good on their promise to make up the European gigs they were forced to cancel due to Dave Grohl’s demolished leg, the Foo Fighters hit up England’s Milton Keynes Bowl on Saturday.

Beyond finally getting their Foo-fix, attendees were treated to the insane opening lineup of Royal Blood and Iggy-friggin’-Pop. Combining the location with the fact that the day would have been Freddy Mercury’s 69th birthday, there was no little doubt the Foos would be pulling out one of their beloved Queen covers. And while they stuck to tour staple “Under Pressure,” in true Foo Fighters fashion they managed to make it an event by inviting Queen drummer Roger Taylor and Led Zeppelin bassist/Grohl collaborator John Paul Jones to join them onstage.

Dubbing the short collaboration a ‘superdupergroup’ (he kinda has a point there), the band ripped through the tune with Queen’s Taylor taking over drum duties, allowing Foo Fighters stickman Taylor Hawkins to get out from behind the kit and get his strut on. John Paul Jones, meanwhile, jumped on the keys rather than bass – probably simply because he’s the shit and can play pretty much anything.
