Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem featuring Sam the Eagle, to be specific.

When the lights go down at the Muppet Workshop, characters from Jim Henson’s extended universe have become the stars of some truly fantastic mash-ups.

First, the Swedish Chef, Animal, and Beaker threw down to the Beastie Boys’ “So What’cha Want”. Then, Kermit the Frog made us misty with the Arthur Russell swooner “That’s Us/Wild Combination”. Most recently, Miss Piggy absolutely crushed Rihanna’s “Bitch Better Have My Money” (though it could have used a Mads Mikkelsen cameo).

Now, the members of Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem (Janice, Animal, Floyd Pepper and Zoot, for those keeping track at home) have kicked out the funk jams on an official cover. Teamed up with the cranky monotone of Sam the Eagle, they bump and grind through Kool and the Gang’s strutting ’70s classic “Jungle Boogie” (brought back to the public consciousness by its spot on the Pulp Fiction soundtrack). Get down!
