Dave Grohl to face The Muppets' Animal in epic drum battle

Sure, we’ve all said “this guy… is inhuman!” at one point or another after a killer solo from the former Nirvana and Queens of the Stone Age drummer, but now Dave Grohl will be facing off against a literal monster for syncopated supremacy. Finally, the world will know the answer to one of its most eternal, burning questions: Who’s better behind the kit, Dave Grohl or Animal from The Muppets?

The showdown will reportedly take place on the rebooted Muppets’ show-within-a-show, Up Late With Miss Piggy, a late-night talk show hosted by an anthropomorphic pig. No, not James Corden! The one and only Miss Pigathius Lee will host the battle of the beat beasts, with inappropriate workplace conduct towards a certain frog hopefully being kept to a minimum.

The episode will air December 1st, and will also feature the talents of Joseph Gordon-Levitt, presumably engaging in a battle of smouldering gazes with, I don’t know, Gonzo.
