Fell in love with a frog.

Who can a felt frog turn to for relationship advice when it comes to feelings for a temperamental porcine Muppet? If you’re Kermit the Frog, you seek the counsel of chalk-faced twice divorced rock curio Jack White. After all, Kermit’s not in The Black Keys so the two parties should get along swimmingly.

White, who has never publicly dated a Muppet aside from maybe Renée Zellwegger, will be serving up tips on love as a special guest on the season (series?) finale of The Muppets. No really! That is what’s being promised in the sepia-toned Instagram promo (which filter is this?) from White’s label Third Man Records.

Jack White looks awfully chipper for the only guy in the photograph not wearing a free t-shirt. CONSIDER US INTRIGUED!

White’s far from the first celebrity cameo to pop up on The Muppets in its current incarnation. Reese Witherspoon, Laurence Fishburne, Key and Peele, Jason Bateman, and Mindy Kaling are among the guests that have provided some extra star wattage to the ABC series. It’s also been a popular place for musical acts to hang around with Willie Nelson, Josh Groban, and Dave Grohl all making appearances.

Care to revisit Grohl and Animal going head-to-head in a drum battle? We have that plunked below. The season finale of The Muppets will air on March 1.
