The White Stripes are so unhappy with their music appearing in Pro-Trump propaganda that they've briefly reunited to condemn it.

It’s not often you hear of Jack White and his former White Stripes bandmate/ex-wife Meg White doing anything together – but sometimes, two people’s shared hatred or disgust for something can trump (no pun intended) any other feelings that may be involved. There’s a proverbial truckload of musicians that have been enraged by their music being juxtaposed to The Donald’s political campaign, and now you can add The White Stripes to that list. Jack and Meg issued a rare joint statement that left no doubt about their feelings on the matter:

“Regarding the use of ‘Seven Nation Army’ in a Donald Trump campaign video, The White Stripes would like to unequivocally state that they have nothing whatsoever to do with this video. They are disgusted by this association, and by the illegal use of their song.”

The musicians may be just a bit misinformed in this case, however. No one can seem to track down (or even recall) an official Trump campaign video that utilized ‘Seven Nation Army.’ Jack and Meg are almost certainly referring to an obnoxiously long Trump supporter-made video which features an equally obnoxious EDM remix of the White Stripes’ hit tune. Copyright claims have resulted in the video being removed from both Twitter and YouTube (Jack’s lawyers don’t play, boy) but for now you can see a cached version of the propaganda-tinged clip here.
