Just in case you were worried that you were the only one that thought the cadence of Donald Trump’s tweets and the constant refrain of “SAD!” resembled an early-aughts emo anthem sung by Jesse Lacey or Adam Lazzara, rest assured Super Deluxe is on your wavelength:

Ah, that takes me back. It makes perfect sense Trumpisms work so well as a third-wave emo song: remember, this was a whole genre based on around the petulant tantrums of pathological narcissists. At least now we’ll finally get to find out what happens when you give the political equivalent of the guy from Saves The Day the nuclear codes, though.
