Up next: A Foo Fighters/Game of Thrones crossover.

Pfffttt… Playing a show with two non-broken legs is some amateur hour shit, dude.

Dave Grohl’s recently busted limb wasn’t enough to kill the 20th anniversary bash planned by the Foo Fighters. The band’s celebratory shindig went ahead as scheduled on Saturday night with the Foos frontman bringing the rock fury from a ridiculous-ass throne to the delight of the Washington, D.C. crowd.

“Ladies and gentlemen, let me tell you a story,” said Grohl. “A funny thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago. We were on tour and we were in Europe, playing a gig in Sweden. It was a beautiful night just like today, a big ass stadium full of people. We started playing our set, it was all good. Then guess what? I fell off the fucking stage.”

In what’s a bit better than your average “here’s what happened to me at work” story, Grohl included footage of the Great Swedish Stage Stumble of 2015, photos of his injury and recovery and blueprints for the throne he designed while “high as a fucking kite.” To top it off, the story/PowerPoint closes with “Big Me”, which is a major plus.

If it wasn’t summer, there would be roughly 50,000 stoned teens trying to recreate those blueprints in shop class at this very moment.

By all accounts, the Foo Fighters 20th anniversary concert was a roaring success complete with beloved classics trotted out and a collection of support acts like LL Cool J, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Buddy Guy, Gary Clark Jr., RDGLDGRN, and Trombone Shorty. Y’know, your average anniversary turnout. We were kinda hoping David Letterman would pop up to do vocals on “Everlong,” but what can you do? Save it for the 25th anniversary, I suppose.
