The former child star aped Michael Jackson with uncomfortable results.

The Pennsylvania State College Spikes single-A baseball team issued an apology earlier this week, following a strange musical performance by former child star and perpetual self-humiliation machine Corey Feldman. Fortunately, we live in an era where nothing is remembered but absolutely everything is recorded so you can check out a clip below, you lucky dog!

Well, we’re all certainly a little more depressed for having watched that, but beyond the bad music, terrible stage costumes and Feldman’s discomfiting stage presence, what was it about the show that prompted the apology? Was it the shameless Michael Jackson aping? The pre-recorded backing track? The strange, nameless melancholy that comes with witnessing a career in its death throes?

The answer is somehow even more stupid: According to StateCollege.com, the team apologized because Feldman didn’t meet with fans during the game, and in no way was the team expecting any kind of musical performance. Although, the team clarifies, Feldman did sign autographs after his impromptu concert, so there’s that. I dearly wanna meet the dozen or so Feldster superfans who stuck it out and ask them why this is how they are spending their precious time on earth.
