For pure-blooded rockers who hit their stride in the Sunset Boulevard-era, Appetite for Destruction is a prized artifact. It isn’t only the holy grail of the Guns ‘n Roses discography, it is the untouchable holy grail, period. So if you’re one of those truthers, this is where we’ll warn you: Do not scroll down. Avert your eyes and ears. Because Guns ‘n Roses have just gone electronic.

Back in 2010, electro pop outfit Ruby Isle remade songs like “My Michelle” and “Sweet Child O’ Mine” into plinky dance tracks. The album’s release was locked in legal hell for a while, but MetalSucks noticed it’s finally licensed on Spotify, making this the perfect time to remind you it exists.

Stylistically, these aren’t the EDM bangers you’re expecting. “Sweet Child O Mine” is a relatively minimalist jam with a chiptune slant. “Paradise City” is transformed into a Daft Punk-infused shuffler, and “My Michelle,” which they shot and released a video for, sounds like proto-AWOLNATION.
