Paul McCartney replaces Kurt in Nirvana reunion, Courtney Love obviously hates it

So what if it was for charity, and so what if Kurt Cobain loved the Beatles: Courtney Love was in no way involved with the “Nearvana” reunion at the 12-12-12 Hurricane Sandy concert, which means yeah, she hated it.

“Look, if John were alive it would be cool,” she trolled told TMZ.

But luckily nobody cares what Courtney thinks and the performance went swimmingly, especially when the quartet (unofficial Nirvana member Pat Smear joined Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic) ran through “Cut Me Some Slack,” a new song they wrote for Grohl’s upcoming Sound City documentary. And while many people pointed out that “Live and Let Die” might not have been the most appropriate track to play for disaster relief, they pulled it off.
