You might remember the surprisingly solid mash-up of Slipknot’s “Psychosocial” and Justin Bieber’s “Baby” we posted way back when—if not check it out below. Well it turns out singer Corey Taylor’s heard it, loves it, and even went so far as to try and get Bieber to come out and sing it with him.

“I know Justin wasn’t responsible for it, but I just thought it was so cool. Everybody thought I’d be pissed about it, but I was blown away… I give him respect. He’s a very talented kid and he goes above and beyond for his fans,” Taylor told Revolver.

Taylor says he tried to get Bieber out to sing the mash-up with him when he was at a book reading in Baltimore and Justin was in nearby Washington, but couldn’t make it work.

“I tried to get him down to my reading because I wanted to try to do an acoustic version of Psychosocial Baby together.” he explains. “But he was actually visiting children’s hospitals. You can’t say anything bad about a guy who’s visiting children’s hospitals.”
