Slipknot singer drank his own puke to impress Marilyn Manson

Manson responded to Slipknot's gross-out challenge by dancing in his underwear.
Move over, Nikki Sixx vs. Ozzy Osbourne, there are some new rocker gross-out kings in town.
In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Slipknot vocalist Cory Taylor reminisces about the heady days of 2001, when both his band of percussionist clowns and Marilyn Manson were on top of the heavy music world while touring as part of Ozzfest. In terms usually reserved for long-past romances and summer flings, Taylor wistfully recalls Slipknot’s time sharing the stage with the shock-rocker, their early years together, and oh yeah, drinking his own vomit to impress Manson for some reason.
“I was pretty lit, pretty much for that whole tour,” Taylor said. “I do remember throwing up in a cup and drinking it in front of Manson and he kind of freaked out. He didn’t really know how to take it.”
How did Manson eventually respond to this gross-out challenge? Piss-drinking, Sixx-style? Going the #2 route, à la (allegedly) Frank Zappa? The time-honoured heavy music tradition of bat-biting? No, he apparently performed a near-naked dance for Slipknot, a band which, I remind you, is 90% comprised of auxiliary sampling, percussionists, and DJ clowns.
“He ran into our dressing room in tighty-whitey underwear and kind of danced for us and kind of ran back out, and we were like, ‘What the fuck just happened?” Taylor said. “This is the new shit!” – Marilyn Manson, dancing in his tighty-whities in front of Shawn Crahan, probably.
Anyway, Californian fans of both Slipknot and their brand of gross-out competitions can catch the band at their annual Knotfest, which has combined with Ozzfest this year. Take note: If there ever was a time to spot a puke-drinking clown, it’s this October.
