Well, this is pretty perfect. In the wake of her massively-successful album "21," Adele might be recording the theme for the latest entry in the James Bond series, "Skyfall." Earlier this month, she was seen at Abbey Road Studios in London, the site movie composer Thomas Newman has been working out of, and she also hinted at the gig in a 2011 interview.

Earlier this month, she was seen at Abbey Road Studios in London, the site movie composer Thomas Newman has been working out of, and she also hinted at the gig in a 2011 interview. Additionally, IT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE. Come on! Does any current artist exude nearly as much Bondian class? As her first official release since “21,” it’s a way for Adele to haul some serious dough-dollars without having to put together a full album, and for a flagging movie industry, it would be an incredible shot in the arm for a movie they need to guarantee at least one more blockbuster is on the horizon.

Adele would join a legendary and eclectic list of artists who have lent their pipes to the long-running movie franchise. Who exactly? Well, let’s take a trip down YouTube Lane.

Tina Turner – “GoldenEye”

Carly Simon – “Nobody Does It Better”

Paul McCartney – “Live and Let Die”

Duran Duran – “A View To A Kill”

Louis Armstrong – “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”
