She’s barely old enough to have completed a post-secondary education, but Taylor Swift now has a school named after her. The sugary-sweet singer-songwriter plunked down four million dollars to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum for the creation of the Taylor Swift Education Center, which will open its doors in 2014. The Hall of Fame says it’s the largest financially-savvy tax dodge – sorry, charitable donation – an artist has made in their history.
Her center will be over 7,500 square feet large, with three classrooms, exhibit space and something they call a “musical petting zoo.” Whatever you do, kids, do NOT feed Lyle Lovett. Because of Swift’s donation, the Hall of Fame will be able to expand the roster of musical education programs they offer to teens. Hopefully, this means they can add a class about how to seem humble and shocked while accepting an award, when on the inside you’re really screaming, “I earned this, you sons of whores!”
