Thanks to British tabloid The Heat, we have finally found out who “Someone Like You” is about, and there are over 21 million people who bought 21 out there who officially have a bone to pick with…

Lucky for this guy, he’s managed to keep a low profile on the web. The only photo I could find that might be him is this weird effected banner I found on a gossip site. It could just as easily be a stock photo, though. It’s a shame, because I really wanted to feed this older brother complex that makes me want to go after Sturrock. “WHO HURT YOU? TELL ME ADELE. WHO DID THIS TO YOU?”

Alex Sturrock dated Adele for about a year between 2008 and 2009, and joined her on tour in the United States in 2009 as her official photographer. Due to his close relationship with the singer, he was able to snap some pretty candidly cute shots while on the road.

According to Adele, it just “stopped being fun.” On her official website, she said that “Rolling In The Deep” was a reaction to “being told that [her] life was going to be boring and lonely and rubbish, and that [she] was a weak person if [she] didn’t stay in the relationship. [She] was very insulted, and wrote that as a ‘fuck you.'”

Well, on second thought, maybe this 21-million-member-strong-Adele-army shouldn’t make Alex Sturrock a wanted criminal. If he did right by Adele, she might be lacking 6 GRAMMYs, 3 Brit Awards, and royalties from over 21 million records sold. Actually, I might try to find out if he’s single. I’d let him break my heart if it meant I would be the top selling artist of the 21st century.
