Keeping up with pop stars isn’t easy. What’s worse is sometimes differentiating what news is important versus the forgettable stuff. Thank the high heavens y’all because each week we guarantee to breakdown the news in hopes of turning you into the resident tastemaker within your circle of friends.

Keeping up with pop stars isn’t easy. What’s worse is sometimes differentiating what news is important versus the forgettable stuff. Thank the high heavens y’all because each week we guarantee to breakdown the news in hopes of turning you into the resident tastemaker within your circle of friends.

Adele wins 6 Grammys, Proves Heartbreak is OK – Adele is very juvenile; she giggles at everything and exposes her naiveness by telling everyone all the details of her life. Her album 21 is probably the breakup album of the year and will be for years to come; for that, heartbroken ladies everywhere thank her. Now that Adele is in a happy relationship, how will she find motivation to write?

St. Vincent Makes Gossip Girl Appearance – Let it be known that Annie Clark’s Gossip Girl outfit was way more awesome than Serena’s, which means a lot when you’re on the set of the most glam show on the CW.  St. Vincent belted out Cruel while Blair, Serena, Chuck, Dan and Georgina have some sort of dramatic altercation (as usual). Watch a bit of the performance below:

Whitney Houston Dies, Record Sales Increase – Following her unexpected death the day before the Grammys, Whitney Houston’s Greatest Hits album re-entered the  Top 10 albums sold at the number 6 spot. This continues to prove that artists will always be more popular posthumous.

Beyoncé Heads Back to the Studio to Record two new records – Yes, Blue Ivy has only been around for a month but nannies need to get paid too, right? Bey Bey told The Boombox that she was in the “beginning stages of putting two new albums together”. The only conclusion drawn from this is that HOVA said something like, “Girl – when you g’on release a new album. I’ve put out The Blueprint III and Watch the Throne. What have you done lately?” Naturally, Mrs. Carter felt like she had to go back to the studio ASAP.

Katy Perry Gives Russell Brand a F**k You – In women empowerment news, newly divorced Katy Perry performed her newest single Part of Me at the Grammys.

“So you can keep the diamond ring/It don’t mean nothing anyway/In fact you can keep everything/except for me.”

Not to mention, Perry crimped her hair, which in the 90’s, was a sure sign that you meant business.

Justin Bieber Gives Selena Gomez ‘Promise Ring’ – A few hours after Bieber faux-married a six year-old, he was back in LA-La land gifting his real girlfriend a very sparkly diamond ring in the shape of a “J”. No word on whether the two are engaged but if the Biebs has any common sense, he’d stay single as long as he can.

Disney Gals Change Hair – Perhaps this is a step in the direction of growing up and leaving adolescent behaviour behind or just tween girls acting out. Either way, both Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus took to their respective Twitter accounts to show off their new hair. Miley cut ties with her ratty extensions and is now sporting an innocent bob. Demi lightened her locks to a respectable blonde shade but kept the length. What do we think of these looks?

Chris Brown Continues to Prove His Ignorance – After his lip-synced WTF performance plus a win at the Grammys, Breezy decided to tweet at his haterz…

Someone needs to put a muzzle on Chris Brown so he stops the autotune crap that he’s trying to sell. After that, I believe that Chris Brown should be banned from Twitter because he’s a moron. Lastly, we should all just stop talking about him because without dating Ri Ri, we would’ve all forgotten that he existed and only known him for his 2005 hit Run It.

Stay classy Chris Brown.
