Today we’re going to party like it’s 1983, because for whatever reason there’s a double dose of Ratt in the headlines. First, Noisecreep reports today that vocalist Stephen Pearcy and guitarist Warren DeMartini are finishing up some work with Dave Grohl.

The song is for an upcoming, untitled project from Grohl.

“We’ll let [Dave] tell you about when he’s ready, kidz,” said Pearcy, adding that the song is not for the new Ratt record.

And then there’s Ryan Adams, whose love of 80s metal is well documented. He’s been covering Ratt’s “Round and Round” for a while and took the opportunity to record it properly when he stopped by NPR earlier this week. Listen to his cover below.
