It’s funny how you forget about things like Velvet Revolver until Velvet Revolver book a one-time reunion gig with their former, un-amicably parted singer Scott Weiland, who for sure needs something to do after that Christmas tour because I bet he forgot you can’t tour a Christmas album after Christmas.

So Velvet Revolver was that super group, remember? With important member of Guns N’ Roses and also Scott Weiland, of Stone Temple Pilots. Weiland was outsed in 2008 and they said they’d never have him back but now they’re taking him back for a charity gig for composer John O’Brien. They must have been friends of his or something. Sorry but it’s doubtful that Velvet Revolver is a big-ticket reunion act.

The show will take place Thursday, January 12 at the House Of Blues in West Hollywood, CA. Adam Levine and James Valentine from Maroon 5, Sheryl Crow, Tom Morello, and Stephen Stills are also on the bill. [via Blabbermouth]
