Grammy nominated band DeVotchKa will release their fifth studio album entitled 100 Lovers on February 15 via Anti-.

The recording for 100 Lovers took place in Arizona with producer Craig Schumacher who has previously worked with Neko Case and Calexico. According to the label, the 15-track album features “songs offering an emotionally charged sonic expansiveness while retaining all the heartfelt romance and celebratory energy for which the group is known.”

“The Alley,” the opening track on the album, “begins with melancholy strings before swelling into a powerful and reflective ballad featuring Nick Urata’s otherworldly tenor crooning.” The album also features guest percussions from Mauro Refosco from Atoms for Peace and members of Calexico.

The band, whose Grammy nod stems from their score for the Little Miss Sunshine soundtrack, say they would like their music to be described as “romantic, exotic or hopefully just plain good.”

6. The Man from San Sebastian
