Stone Temple Pilots have rescheduled a portion of their current US tour and will resume playing shows in mid-October, a statement on the band’s official website said. No reason has been given as to why this change has been made, however the band was almost an hour late to their show in Houston on Sunday and once they took the stage lead singer Scott Weiland went on a rant using “odd and confusing” language according to the Houston Press.

Some video footage (below) has since emerged from the concert where we hear the singer going off on a tangent about his past drug addictions, what he believes in and eventually admits to the audience that he has started drinking again. Although STPs certainly proved their worth at the gig in Toronto last month, this tour in support of their new self-titled album has been plagued with skepticism as during their show in Cincinnati, Weiland took a tumble off stage while pre-recorded vocals could still be heard in the background.
