According to the BBC, Michael Jackson’s sister LaToya Jackson has said that her brother was murdered because he was “worth so much more dead than alive” and that “He was murdered for his catalogue and they knew that.”

This past week several publications reported about the astounding rise in revenue, somewhere around $1 billion, the Jackson estate has received since the pop singer’s death last June. In response to this during a recent TV interview LaToya said, “Personally I think it is a slap in the face, not just to Michael but to the entire family. It’s totally unfair, it’s wrong and it was not an accident.”

Jackson’s sister also said that in regards to her brother being murdered, she “never had any doubt” it wasn’t true. “You must remember from the day that I found out that Michael was no longer with us, when my mother screamed ‘he’s dead’ on the phone, I just went into this, ‘Who did it?”

Dr. Conrad Murray, Michael Jackson former personal physician has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and has pleaded not guilty. He is currently awaiting trail. Tomorrow marks the one year anniversary of the singer’s death and fans all over the world have organized tributes, including retreats to his burial ground at Los Angeles Forest Lawn Cemetery. [BBC]
