Clowns are coming to Calgary this April.

Feverishly adored hip-hop act and card game enthusiasts Insane Clown Posse are one of the very, very few clown rap duos to have their own festival, but until now, the Gathering of the Juggalos was strictly an American affair. Well, that’s about to change, because the wicked clowns apparently do so well north of the border that us Canucks are getting our very own annual, weekend-long version of the Gathering in April.

The Canadian Juggalo Weekend is coming to Calgary’s Stampede Corral on April 7th and 8th, and promises 2 days full of horrorcore rap performances. No artists besides ICP have been announced yet, but a quick scroll through the roster of active Psychopathic Records artists ought to give you a good idea of who might be showing up. Much like the OG Gathering, the Canadian version will feature all sorts of extracurricular activities beyond the performances, including “wrestling, games, contests, autograph sessions, face painting booths, vendors, and circus performances.”

ICP will be performing their 1995 album Riddle Box in its entirety on the first night of the fest, with a regular set of classic clown jams to follow on the second night.

Tickets to the Canadian Juggalo Weekend are now available, so get yours before some fake-ass juffalos snag them all.
