In her defence, it's a pretty great logo.

In the eyes of people with ears, Beyoncé can do no wrong. She’s a positive role model, with impeccable talent and undeniable charisma. But even she’s not immune from the wrath of Slayer fans. Thing is, it’s warranted.

On her most recent tour, Beyoncé has been selling Slayoncé pins, no doubt a nod to the swaths of fans echoing out cries of YASSS QUEEN, SLAYYYY throughout her sets. But the logo is unmistakably stolen from Slayer, even if it looks like six year old did the adapting.

This is, of course, not the first time something like this has happened. Kanye West regularly wears Megadeth shirts; Justin Bieber’s done the same with Metallica; Rihanna introduced her Sepultura-inspired logo a few months back. But to us, this says less about how pop stars are appropriating and stealing from metal than it does about how badass and iconic these metal logos and typefaces are.

Oh, and those pins? They’re $40 on eBay right now.
