Liam Gallagher would internet-shame his kids if they went to a Noel Gallagher concert

There's no family quite like the Gallaghers.

For those of us old enough to remember, one of the most enjoyable beefs of the 1990s was between Oasis brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher. The only members of the megaband that anyone actually knew, the two would vacillate between talking shit about each other to the press and punching each other in the face, all while still in a band together.

Honestly, when a band’s singer bails on their MTV Unplugged performance because of a ‘sore throat’ then sticks around to chain smoke and heckle his own group from the balcony, the writing of a break up is pretty much on the wall. Still, with bitter rivals like Slash and Axl or Danzig and Jerry Only burying the hatchet, you’d think these two siblings might have mellowed a bit as well by now. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on what gets you off), that’s not the Gallagher way. While talking with Metro about the upcoming Oasis documentary and his forthcoming solo record, Liam felt the need to share what would happen if his kids let slip they had attended a concert by their uncle’s new band, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.

“If I ever caught them at one of their gigs there’d be trouble. I’d stop their pocket money or I’d dish out loads of old photos of them with nappies full of shit and put that on the internet and say, ‘Cop that, dickhead.'”

Ah, the old “here’s a picture of you in shit filled diapers” parenting technique. Classic. Liam did admit that he missed hanging out with his brother and shared that it would be nice to put the feud to rest “for me mam’s sake” (how Manchester is this dude, right?), but insisted his brother had treated “like a bit of a cunt.” Still, there may have been some growing up happening in the years gone by, as the famously volatile singer was able to concede that the whole thing is really quite dumb. “It’s stupid and childish and we should know better, but we don’t,” he concluded pragmatically. From everyone who’s ever been in any sort of relationship ever – we hear ya, man.
