Deeply entrenched into a seventh straight hour of Magic: The Gathering, who among us hasn’t prayed to the gods (I mean, God) of Shangri-La for a new collectible card game to play, preferably featuring the mythology surrounding noted political wonks Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J? Ah, just as I thought: absolutely everyone reading this.

Well, rejoice, Juggalo-gamers: Magnets: The Gathering Into The Echoside is nearly here. Featuring cards representing all your Dark Carnival favourites, from Homies to Tech N9ne, and rules more complex than a fucking F-16 manual, Into the Echoside is the deckbuilding game of every nerdy Juggalo’s hatchet-filled dreams. But don’t take my word for it, take a mere 78 minutes out of your day to watch a grown man named “Jumpsteady” awkwardly explain it to a disinterested veteran JCW (‘Juggalo Championship Wrestling’) ring girl:

Oof… that’s a hard watch. I think watching a perpetually-high game designer explaining “unity benefits” and how karma “pools” to someone who clearly can’t wait to get out of there is technically a form of psychological torture, so apologies for that. Anyway, kudos to the Echoside designers: I was worried for a second there they would forget to include iconic Psychopathic artist Young Wicked, but thankfully that’s not the case.
