I guess you guys aren't ready for that yet. But your kids are gonna love it.

One of Hollywood’s most iconic scenes is the ‘Enchantment Under The Sea’ high school dance scene from the original 1985 Back To The Future film – the biggest takeaway from which is probably Michael J. Fox’s performance of The Penguins’ ‘Earth Angel’ and Chuck Berry’s ‘Johnny B. Goode.’

Whatever you might think of Coldplay’s music, you can’t argue with frontman Chris Martin’s taste in movies. Or, for that matter, his kid’s. At a New Jersey show over the weekend, Martin showed a video clip of his son Moses asking that his dad play a song from “both our favourite movie Back To The Future.” Sorta cheesy, I know, but I think it’s in his DNA. Anyway, the band kicked off with ‘Earth Angel’ – but soon upped the ante and had the crowd going bonkers by inviting movie star Michael J. Fox on stage. Fox stuck around to play one more tune, which of course was a pumped up version of ‘Johnny B. Goode.’ Check out the video from the show below.

UPDATE: Coldplay has uploaded official footage of their performance. Check ‘er out:
