Happy Back to the Future Day!

Congratulations everyone, we’ve finally hit that magical/terrifying date visited by Marty McFly and Doc Brown in Back to the Future II.  We trust you’ve been celebrating by doing hoverboard tricks and eating dehydrated pizza.

Fox & Friends (which sadly is not mini-series where Megan Fox explains Friends episodes on PBS) was in the mood to celebrate too and they put together a special episode that featured Lea Thompson, Huey Lewis and a DeLorean. Seems like a morning TV slam dunk, right? Nope.

Fox News host Brian Kilmeade was parked in the driver’s seat of a DeLorean (cuz BTTF) and Huey Lewis was tasked with opening the door to reveal Kilmeade. Provided you don’t wang yourself in the face with the rising door, the degree of difficulty is pretty low. Unfortunately for Kilmeade and Lewis, the door just wouldn’t open. Pop-rock dad Lewis does his best to roll with the punches, but it was an uncomfortable stretch until Kilmeade was freed from his 80s prison.

Kilmeade also smacked his head on the way out which is always fun to see on a live television broadcast.

To recap, a news program broadcast Huey Lewis trying to free a grown man dressed as Marty McFly from a “time-travelling” automobile. What more do you want, cable cutters?
