Halifax's Loveland make seductive synth-pop with haunting falsetto irresistible.

Halifax synth romantics Loveland have a new album coming out Friday, June 3rd, and anyone craving some dusky, seductive electronic jams are in luck: we’re streaming the whole thing below.

Sounding like Kate Bush collaborating with Midnight Star and a metric ton of reverb units, Aloe Hotel isn’t afraid to let the wall of synths and drum machines hang back to highlight singer Robert Loveless’ haunting, emotive falsetto. It’s especially irresistible on midtempo heaters like “Dance Party” and “Fallininluv”, where the dreamy groove builds up so effectively even Tony Hadley would be impressed.

Listen to Aloe Hotel below and scroll down to check out the title track’s video plus the band’s three upcoming Halifax shows:

Loveland Halifax shows:

Friday, June 3rd – Menz and Mollyz
Saturday, June 11th – North Street Church
Saturday, June 18th – Gus’ Pub
