PREMIERE: Watch Say Yes's new video for "Once Forward, Twice Back"

Burlington's Say Yes features members of Alexisonfire and Saint Alvia.
Say Yes is the super-powered Southern Ontario trio of Jordan Hastings (ex-Alexisonfire), Adam Michael (ex-Saint Alvia), and Michael Zane. Their self-titled EP was released by Dine Alone Records in 2014, and the storied label is now gearing up to issue Say Yes’s full-length debut, Real Life Trash Mag, on April 29th. The album was co-written and co-produced with Ian D’Sa (Billy Talent) and Eric Ratz (Monster Truck, Billy Talent). Get a sneak peek with the video premiere of its first single below.
“Once Forward, Twice Back” sets a spooky True Detective meets Spring Breakers tone with shots of bikini-clad, gun-toting women wearing bull skulls. Filmed by James Maunder and conceptualized by Misfit Island Studios, the video alternates between these scenes in the wilderness with clips of the band on stage and in the studio. According to Say Yes, it introduces a theme of the album’s “fictitious deviant characters” who are “blindly driven towards fulfilling their vices at any cost.”
