Despite his age, Billy's still just a brat on a stage.

When you want to publicly decry “Maoist cults” and the dangers of progressivism, there’s only one man to turn to, and be interviewed by: popular conspiracy theorist and Libertarian Alex Jones, whose special brand of crazy seems engineered to infect beloved creative types.

One of Jones’ biggest fans and repeat guest on his Infowars internet talk show, Smashing Pumpkins frontman / cat fancier / bad dad Billy Corgan, was being interviewed by Jones when he let fly with some suitably batshit comments.

Throughout the interview, Corgan railed against what he considers the over-the-top, hardline faction of progressives, or “social justice warriors” as they’ve become disparagingly known. Corgan compares them to everything under the sun, from cultists to Maoists and yes, even the KKK.

Corgan and Jones discussed their notion that SJWs are the real danger to the world and to free speech, constantly ‘pretending’ to be offended about a rotating platter of issues, or, in Billy’s charming words, they’re “little arrogant 20-year-olds spitting in their faces screaming at [people], ‘You hate me ‘cause I’m a tranny,’ and it’s just this made-up thing in their heads.” Basically, despite all their rage, they’re still just mice in… some kind of… enclosures.

Eventually, things came to the bombshell, when Corgan said that social justice warriors are akin to the KKK:

“I’m not saying America doesn’t have a racist bent, so let’s put that out there to start with, but let’s go back to a time where racism was accepted, it was institutionalized. OK? If you could go back to Selma 1932, and the Klan member spitting in some person of color’s face, don’t you think that guy thought he was right, too?”

Billy also seems to be labouring under the delusion that he’s still important enough to be up against the wall when the great progressive revolution comes:

“I’m horrified as somebody who believes in free speech and is an artist, because those people are gonna be coming for me. It may not be tomorrow, but it’s soon enough because I said the wrong thing on the wrong day because I was tired and I didn’t take my X2 that day, or whatever… To live where every word is a land mine — you know what I’m saying — it’s not the world I want to live in.”

Note: the ‘X2’ Billy’s referred to is apparently some kind of ‘nascent iodine’ supplement you can buy, for only $29.95 USD, in the Infowars store. You know what they say, a deeply gullible rock star and his royalty income are soon parted.

Corgan also noted that his more recent music would probably be more popular if he were to bow to the politically-correct pressures of the times: “I would sell more records, I would have more opportunities if I turned into one of those hashtaggy trendies.” Man can still coin a phrase, I’ll give him that. Hashtaggy Trendies and the Infinite Badness: The Corgan Spoken Word Collection will hopefully be available for streaming soon. Tidal exclusive!

So there you have it. Watch a clip from the interview below, if you can handle the crazy. Goddamn hashtag trendies, always pretending to be offended about… things:

Here’s a conspiracy theory I’m trying to push but the mainstream lie-beral media won’t take action: Adore was a false flag operation designed to turn people against frilly-sleeved shirts.
