Flight of the Conchords announce North American tour and new music

So far Murray has only booked them one Canadian date in Vancouver.
After previously announcing their first reunion show at the Newport Folk Festival, the almost award-winning (they’ve actually snagged a Grammy) fourth-most-popular folk duo in New Zealand have announced a full tour. This June, Flight of the Conchords will jet set across North American for the first time in three years.
According to their storied slacker label Sub Pop, the “Flight of the Conchords sing Flight of the Conchords Tour,” will also feature a new set of songs from Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie. Hopefully those will include the omnichords in their snazzy new photo above.
“I’m thrilled to get back on the road with over half the original band,” said McKenzie.
Will these new numbers live up to 2009’s I Told You I Was Freaky? Only time will tell. Band manager Murray (a.k.a. Rhys Darby, who stole the show with his role as the Were-Monster in the rebooted X-Files) has also confirmed that he is waiting for the finished script on a Flight of the Conchords feature film.
