At last, the Pokemon Red and Blue soundtracks get a vinyl release.

Rejoice, Pokémaniacs and 8-bit music fans: the Pokémon Red and Blue soundtracks are coming out on vinyl, courtesy of Moonshake Records. Much like an ultra-rare shiny Ponyta (and Sum41’s Go Chuck Yourself live album), no aspiring Pokémaster’s collection is complete without it.

Limited to just 500 copies, the red-and-white coloured record is made to look like a Pokéball, and will contain every single Junichi Masuda-composed 8-bit ditty from the original games… for just $50 USD. “Even the S.S. Anne theme? What a deal!”

Hold your Horseas though: it’s not available for purchase yet, but you can request an email notification here when the album is in stock.

Finally, Pokémon superfans will get to hear the creepy, murder-inciting tones of the Lavender Town theme the way they were meant to be heard… with additional analog warmth, and our roommates or significant others begging us to turn it off!

Ahhh… masterful. Now, time to check out the dubstep remix.
