This marks the second year in a row that an American act will perform.

Surprisingly durable musical outfit Fall Out Boy have been tapped as the Grey Cup halftime attraction for this year’s showdown in Winnipeg.

The big reveal was made today at The Forks in Manitoba’s capital and marks the second year in a row that an American act has been called upon to perform at Canadian football’s showcase game. Canadians are, predictably, pretty annoyed about it, hoping to have seen a little Cancon up in there this year.

“We’re honoured the CFL invited us to perform during one of the country’s most monumental events,” said Pete on the band’s upcoming gig. “Plus it’s pretty rad we get to watch the game in person.”

Here’s Pete saying roughly the same thing but in video form.

We’re betting on “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)” and “Centuries” making an appearance because the bulk of sports broadcasts have a big ol’ hard-on for those tracks, but we’d like to make our push for an Infinity On High medley if possible. Bring in Jay Z to do the intro of “Thriller” and you’re all set.

The 2015 Grey Cup goes down in Winnipeg on November 29.
