He wore a blonde wig and called himself Jesus.

Is it too late now to say sorry? One fan of Justin Bieber isn’t apologetic about his enthusiasm.

On Tuesday morning, D’laontie Dee Lewis strolled into a middle school in Dunbar, West Virginia and demanded to serenade students with his favourite Biebs songs over the intercom during morning announcements. The school was placed on lockdown, with Lewis handcuffed and charged with a small amount of marijuana possession before being brought to a local hospital. He was also wearing a blonde Bieber-style wig.

WCHS reports in a news video on the scene that Dunbar Middle School was 26-year-old Lewis’s alma matter. After reportedly going off his medication, this was his reasoning: “It’s the right thing to do. Singing to kids makes them smarter.”

Hours later, Lewis was at it again after exiting Thomas Memorial Hospital and entering Kiddie Kollege Daycare at First Church of the Nazarene to sing Bieber songs to a smaller group of children. According to a criminal complaint, he was charged with disorderly conduct and trespassing after being asked to leave the property multiple times before yelling and “making vulgar statements.” Lewis’s explanation this time was that he “wanted to speak to the children as Justin Bieber” and that “he could see them because he was Jesus.”
