Millionaire DJs: They're just like us!

Being a superstar EDM producer will save you a lot of grief in this life, even if you insist on wearing a giant mouse head while doing it. You’ll probably never have to deal with public transit, or fiscal responsibility, at least until the EDM craze runs its course and the whole thing goes back underground (kind of like it’s already doing!).

In the meantime though, seems like being a superstar DJ opens the doors to all kinds of perks us non-beatmaking plebes will never know…but at least we’re all equals when it comes to playing hardcore Diablo 3 characters, as Deadmau5 discovered when he permanently lost his. Warning: the following contains higher amounts of nerd content than is considered socially healthy.

For those lucky enough to actually get dates in high school, Diablo is Blizzard’s popular action-RPG series, with the newest incarnation, Diablo 3, remaining hyper-popular since its rocky initial release back in 2012. Joel Zimmerman, a.k.a. Deadmau5, a.k.a. The Bad Boy of Twitter, is an avid fan of the game, regularly livestreaming his demon-slaughtering sessions for those special people who wisely use their free time watching a guy play what is probably the most boring spectator video game in the world.

Deadmau5 is such a devoted Diablo fan, he actually has an in-game item themed after him, to the envy of bedroom dwellers everywhere. During a particularly heated game session with his hardcore Demon Hunter (note for sex-havers: “hardcore” means your character is permanently gone upon death), server issues caused him to lose hundreds of precious, totally productive and un-wasted hours.

Predictably, the ‘Mau5 took to his favourite social media platform, Digg Twitter to complain, loudly, annoyingly, and to no effect:

Still less irritating than DarkSydePhil, anyway. This concludes your dose of dorky Deadmau5 news. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got to go level my Witch Doctor, “Voodoo Kyle.”
