The Beyonce bootcamp is titled 'The Entertainment Industry: How Do I Get In?'

Matthew Knowles is known as the man who brought the world Destiny’s Child and Beyoncé, but their professional relationship ended back in 2011. Her dad/former manager was last seen selling Beyoncé merch out of his garage and he’s now offering a one-way ticket to stardom with a class titled ‘The Entertainment Industry: How Do I Get In?’

The Beyoncé bootcamp will be held on Oct. 24 at Houston’s Hobby Center in Houston, and is aimed at all “aspiring singers, dancers, composers, writers, producers, managers, publicists, attorneys, business managers and all other entertainment industry hopefuls.” General admission tickets for for the one-day workshop cost $199, though there is a student rate offered for $99 and a VIP option including a private lunch and photo-op with Mr. Knowles.

As Billboard reports, his credentials include teaching a class at Texas Southern University called ‘The Recording Industry,’ as well as a previous version of this same workshop offered last fall alongside Houston rapper Bun B. His last book was titled The DNA of Achievers, but he won’t be teaching from it for this course. As Mr. Knowles explained in a recent interview, “we will not have a textbook, because I am the book.”
