Beyonce dressed up like X-Men's Storm and nerds weren't happy

Ciara celebrated her 30th birthday over the weekend with an early Halloween party involving some elaborate superhero cosplay. Alongside the R&B singer’s Catwoman costume and boyfriend Russell Wilson of the Seattle Seahawks dressed up like the Dark Knight, an Instagram snap from Kelly Rowland revealed Beyonce as a spot-on Storm. It’d be far too simple for the X-Men fans of the world to be happy with this musical equivalent of Comic Con. Naturally, there were some complaints expressed about the way Beyonce “appropriated nerd culture” and did something Halle Berry had already done better. Her star power seems to be the only reason why she was singled out instead of sexy Captain America.
