Jack White channels his inner Meg in drum tutorial

Rock titan/t-shirt creation documentarian/noted weirdo Jack White is ready to reveal some details about his Dead Weather drumming technique with you civilians.

White has put together a ten minute video on his approach in what’s the first of four clips that showcase technique and instrument discussion. If that’s not your bag, there’s also an assortment of interesting non-technique details baked into this thing. Like what? The artist formerly dubbed “Zorro on donuts” by Noel Gallagher shares that he and his Bond theme co-star Alicia Keys had plans to do some live shows but it didn’t work out. BOOM! You just got fun fact’d!

“I’m the guy back here in the trenches,” notes White in the agreeably goofy intro. “I’m hittin’ the boom-booms, make the scrilla.”

The video closes with a blistering full band rendition of “Hang You From The Heavens.” This is just a taste of what you can expect from the new Dead Weather record, Dodge and Burn, out September 25.
