Black Sabbath plot final world tour

A certain 71-year-old may consider Black Sabbath “a great joke,” but if the friends on my Facebook feed planning a pilgrimage to their Hamilton tour date are any indication, the riff-wielding legends are still beloved.

Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, and Geezer Butler have announced that their forthcoming ‘The End Tour’ will be Sabbath’s final globetrot before they shuffle off this mortal coil. Beginning in the headbangers’ paradise of Omaha, Nebraska on January 20th, they will head north for Canadian tour dates in Saskatoon, Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, Montreal, and the Hammer. The North American shebang ends with a blowout on February 25th in New York City, following by a trek down under in April. Cheer up, Australian metalhead!

Ozzy previously mumbled something about “one more album” to follow up 2011’s 13 but no further information has been included with the tour announcement. Will 14 see the light of day?
