Ozzy Osbourne in treatment for sex addiction

Back in May, we learned that Sharon Osbourne was getting off the crazy train after 33 years, and that the separation wasn’t due to any ‘sobriety issues. Well, at least not of the alcohol or drugs variety, anyway.

According to a representative for Ozzy in a statement to People, Ozzy’s been “dealing with sex addiction for the previous six years,” and that he is “mortified at what his behavior has done to his family. He thanks God that his incredible wife Sharon is at his side to support him”.

Speaking on Osbourne’s four-year extramarital relationship with his former hairstylist Michelle Pugh, which was the main impetus for the split, the rep said that “[Osbourne] is sorry if Ms. Pugh took their sexual relationship out of context… He would like to apologize to the other women he has been having sexual relationships with,” which I’m pretty sure counts as the most brutal public humiliation Ozzy’s dished out since this.

“Since his relationship with Ms. Pugh was exposed, Ozzy has gone into intense therapy,” the rep continued. Hopefully that’s not a euphemism, and the therapy centre’s been sprayed for any errant infestations of Ozzy’s ancestral enemies.
