"I am not really happy being sober, but I don’t want to get drunk."

The stories are legendary: Ozzy Osbourne, as much as he’s known as the iconic, bat-eating frontman of Black Sabbath, has spent much of half-century spanning career as a total (Crazy) trainwreck.

That’s changed of late — now sober, 67-year-old singer is looking the best he has in ages. And while he says he has no desire to end his nights with a “belly full of booze and bag of fucking cocaine,” he’s not super happy about it.

To clarify: At 3 years sober, Osbourne has come to terms with the reality, and old adage, that while he might have one drink left in him, he might not have one more “sober.” But in a candid interview with Goldmine, he clarifies the weird place his sobriety has put him in.

I am not really happy being sober, but I don’t want to get drunk.

“I don’t want to put myself in that situation,” said Ozzy. “When I’m left to my own ways, I am going to come up with a stupid idea that makes sense at the time.”

When we discovered that fucking marching powder it was the beginning of the end… but, we came back with the No. 1 album and we are doing our farewell tour.
