16 seems to be the magical age of Billie Joe's kids getting really good at music.

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong’s 16-year-old son is a certified tune vendor that operates under the name Jakob Danger. The teenager’s output of songs sounds a tiny bit like what you might have heard during the post-punk gold rush of the early-to-mid ’00s. This young whippersnapper will be releasing his debut EP via Burger Records.

Here’s a taste of what Jakob Danger is bringing to the table. Take it away, helpful YouTube embeds!

Speaking of Armstrong spawn with a fondness for making noise with musical instruments, Joey Armstrong made some waves at age 16 as the drummer in the outfit Emily’s Army. They’re called SWMRS now, and if you like keeping of that sort of thing, they’ve cranked out a song in tribute to Miley Cyrus.
