Polaris Music Prize announces 2015 Gala performers and Grand Jury

The Polaris Music Prize has announced its line-up of Short List performers for the 2015 Gala award ceremony, taking place at The Carlu in Toronto on Monday, September 21. Alvvays, Braids, Jennifer Castle, Tobias Jesso Jr., Buffy Sainte-Marie, and Viet Cong are the confirmed musical guests. A limited number of tickets are available for purchase.

Storied children’s music artist (and Pennertrators member) Fred Penner will host the Polaris Gala, which will be webcast live on the AUX website. To celebrate the award’s 10th anniversary, this year’s presenters will include previously nominated artists such as Katie Stelmanis (Austra), Simone Schmidt (ex-100 Dollars/Fiver), Dan Boeckner (Handsome Furs/Wolf Parade/Operators), Owen Pallett (ex-Final Fantasy), and Jeremy Greenspan (Junior Boys).

The Grand Jury has also been announced, with the following 11 jurists convening to decide the winner:
