Ever get the feeling you've been cheated?

In thrilling news for aging punks that are in the mood to pogo over a representative interest rate of 18.9% APR, Virgin Money has revealed a trio of Sex Pistols branded credit cards. The band’s former label has morphed the art for Anarchy In The UK and Never Mind The Bollocks into splashy cards for their financial services division. Gross or no, that’s a savvy play by Richard Branson.

Would you like to hear some of the promo copy touting this set of cards? Too bad, you’ll have to read it anyway.

“In 1977 Virgin Records signed one of their most iconic bands, The Sex Pistols,” proclaims promotional text from Virgin Money. “They challenged convention and the established way of thinking – just as we are doing today in our quest to shake up UK banking.”

Who doesn’t want to discuss credit limit options with the Sid Vicious of lending?

Virgin also declares that the cards will “bring a bit of rebellion to your wallet.”

To be fair, this certainly isn’t the first time that there’s been a showing of marketing goofiness aligned with the Sex Pistols. Frontman John Lydon was the face of Country Time butter for a spell in a bid to score cash for a Public Image Limited revival.
