Kanye West is taking guitar lessons

Kanye West has been feeling the wrath of rockers worldwide since he stepped into Beck’s spotlight at the Grammys back in February, and it seems like it’s finally getting to him. We’re hearing that in the wake of a petition to have him booted off Glastonbury, Yeezy’s stepping up his music game and has a big surprise for fans and critics alike. And if TMZ‘s to be believed, that surprise has 6-strings, a pedalboard an a boastful attitude not even Kanye can talk over.

Yes, Kanye West has reportedly taken up the guitar, enlisting the help of his homie Jack White to try and translate his skills behind the boards into something more… traditional. According to White, he’s well on his way.

“He’s a natural,” White told paparazzi outside his home in Nashville. “The fact he plays piano made it a natural step-up.”

“I just wanted a skill I could pass onto my daughter,” said West in a statement. “What if she grows up and hates rap? What if she thinks rap is crap?”

The real question is, will he be ready for Bluesfest in July?
