Justin Bieber finally went to prom

After all Justin Bieber’s been through—the arrests, the drunk driving, being a wanted man in Argentina—it’s hard to remember that the “Baby” singer is, essentially, still a baby. Although he’s been an A-list celebrity forever, the Biebs is only 21. He’s only turning legal drinking age in the U.S. And it explains a lot: It explains why he was caught egging his neighbours. It explains why Calvin Klein had to Photoshop pubes onto his body. And it explains why last weekend, he crashed someone’s prom.

According to Uproxx, Bieber showed up randomly at a Chatsworth, Calif. high school, just north of L.A. And predictably, a trail of social media followed. Watch the videos below, and be warned: The screams are deafening.

Later, he thanked the high school, saying he’d always wanted to go to prom.
