Last month, Nuclear Hellfrost's former singer joked about desecrating Dimebag Darrell's grave. Hellfrost, an entirely unrelated band, have been suffering the consequences.

By his own admission, former Nuclear Hellfrost singer Reece Eber fucked up when he joked about desecrating Dimebag Darrell’s grave. While he didn’t actually spit on the Pantera legend’s grave, and while he didn’t steal a pair of cowboy boots from it, that he pretended to, and that he admitted to at the very least leaving a homophobic slur at his tombstone, was enough to send Pantera fans into a white rage (no pun intended.).

While Nuclear Hellfrost were quick to distance themselves from the incident, and while Eber took full responsibility, threats against them didn’t take long to appear. An unforeseen side-effect however was that Hellfrost, an entirely different band, were also being threatened. Here’s what they had to say on Facebook:

Lately we have been receiving a lot of hate mail because people have been confusing us with Nuclear Hellfrost. We just want to clarify that we are not associated with them or the recent vandalism to Dimebag’s grave.

So, yikes. It’s one thing to threaten someone’s life over a terribly executed publicity stunt. It’s another to threaten the wrong band. Get your shit together, Pantera fans.
